PORT WILLUNGA

Okay guys, get ready for an absolute photobomb! I'll tell you what I've been up to.
This weekend was a long weekend, which means that we have monday off. On saturday I was picked up and went up to the hills with Jen and Aldo to stay the night. They had some family friends over and we just enjoyed the night. On sunday we went down to their beach house at Port Willunga (which is now one of my favorite places in the world), and the rather fresh people would ride their bike down there (67 km, and no I didn't do that haha). I went in the car with Mia and it takes about an hour to get there.
The first thing you see when approaching Port Willunga are these beautiful hills you see on one of the pictures. I was completely amazed by them, but had no idea what was coming! Suddenly the big wide ocean is right in front of you, bright blue in the sunlight, and the most amazing view ever. It is surely breath taking and I immediately felt like this was a place I was going to love. I can't even begin to describe the view with words, it was just amazing and the water was such a beautiful blue color. Arrrgh, I'm in love with this place! We drove up the road that was right next to the ocean and arrived at their beach house - basically situated on the edge of the cliff! (I wont even begin to imagine the price tag on a house like that back home...)
On sunday evening we had a lot of family friends over, and we enjoyed a walk on the beach, had lovely dinner, and then a few people stayed til monday.
Monday everyone went back home except for me and Jen, who decided to stay a couple of days to relax and enjoy. We had a day of just relaxing, listening to audio books and drawing, it was really nice! Yesterday the weather was gorgeous and I started my day with a long walk at the beach. Afterwards Jen and I went to one of her friends to have lunch with some other people, and then we went to a bunch of second hand stores - in big scale (møllemarked big scale)! It was awesome, you could find pretty much anything, and I almost felt like walking through Famse's old stuff hehe.

This morning Aldo came and picked us up and we went back to the hills. I went down to the city with Jen, because I had some things to catch up with. Last friday I had a trial shift at a cafe (which means you "work" for some hours without getting payed, and they watch you and see how you do). It went really well, and I was confident about it, as well as excited. I was told they would call me back after talking to the girls I've worked with. They were super nice, but the manager himself seemed like he could care less - which he then obviously didn't, I'll tell you why. Well I didn't get a call back, and people were telling me about places that take in people for trial shifts every day to have free labor and then never hire them (WHO DOES THAT BTW?!?). So I went there today, and asked about it. The manager wasn't there but a lady was, and she goes "oooh, but if you were, then it wasn't a trial shift for this place but another place, that doesn't open until 4 weeks. How long are you here for?". I told her and she goes: "Well that's probably why, we would need more permanent ones".. Ehm, well I never told them how long I was staying before, so that is complete bullshit. I tried to explain, and she obviously didn't want to listen and then I thought to myself: well, I don't wanna work a place like this either, so fuck it. So that didn't turn out very well...

People have been telling me that it's hard to get jobs now as well, since all the uni kids wants to have a job for summer... weeee, I feel like a failure haha. I thought it was gonna be easy :( But I'm gonna keep trying, even though that bad experience kinda left me discouraged...
But oh well, hopefully I'll be alright. And apart from that it's been some really good days that I've enjoyed to the fullest - great experiences! And here's your photobomb (be grateful watching these, since it takes me hourrrrs to change the sizes and redirect every single one of them - doing it for you guys ;-) hehe)

Awesome people biking all the way!
Someone was brave enough to hit the waves - it was cold! ;-)
View from the beach house!
This was basically right outside my window - amazing!
Okay, we seem to have a theme going on here with me sticking out my arms and having my "Im so excited"-facial expression on haha!
Australske stokroser!
Look at this - at some point I want to buy a tin sign down here to bring with me back home, they're so awesome
