A WEEK WITHOUT WIFI

As you probably noticed I haven't been able to post anything for about a week now. Sunday I moved to my house in Adelaide which I am sharing with Beth and Olivia, two really nice girls that I enjoy living with. During the week both a lot and a little have happened actually. A combination of all these things will probably make this entry quite long, but oh well....

On sunday I moved all my stuff down to the house and got settled in. It was very overwhelming, and I felt as if I'd just thrown myself into something I wouldn't be able to handle. It sucked pretty much haha. Luckily my inner clock had started to work properly and I was able to sleep through the night (it was the most awesome feeling). The house is super, and is located not far from the city center, which is great. There's a biking/running/waking track just by the house that follows the small river all the way down to the beach (10 km ca) and the other way up into Adelaide hills. It's also located near the tram which makes it really easy to go into the center of the city, which takes about 10 minutes. It pretty much couldn't be any better!

Monday I started to explore a little and went into the city center with the tram. I shopped a little, went to the art gallery and had some food, just trying to find my way in there. My camera was of course with me (like always), buuuut I forgot my SD card at home, so no pics from that day unfortunately. Currently I'm in a love/hate relationship with my camera..

Tuesday I took the tram all the way to the end station, which is Glenelg beach. I just had to go the beach and see that, and it took about an hour with the tram. It was a really nice place and I got to look around a bit and (again) got myself some delicious food hehe. AND frozen yogurt. I'm in love with that stuff, if I gain any weight down here I will blame it on fro-yo, definitely. After the second day exploring alone I felt a bit bored by during stuff by my own, so I decided to stay home on wednesday. Since we have no wifi at the moment, you can all imagine what that would be like haha. I went running (10 km, wuhuuu) and listened to a lot of audio books.. Wednesday night I went to the movies with Mia and stayed at her grandparents' house til thursday. I then went into the city again, aaaaand had once again forgotten my SD-card...... awesome. At dinner time I went to an Indian restaurant with Tom. Beth and Tom's housemate Taz.

Friday I had a plan to meet up a Danish girl who is studying law in Adelaide for a semester, so I went to grab a coffee with her and talked for a few hours - it was really nice! At night I went to a quiz night with Mia and her friends, which was great fun and I stayed at her grandparents' again to then go up the Hills to the house up here today.

So that was pretty much my week in terms of what I've been during haha. Tom's been really nice to take me to his house to use the wifi some of the days, so I wouldn't be too excluded. I really like the city, and even though it's as big as Copenhagen, it's nothing like it. It's not as crammed, and you feel as if the town is smaller than Copenhagen. The city layout contributes to that since the city center is surrounded by parks and then the "suburbs" of houses continues on the other side of the parks. That way you feel as if the city is just the city center.

Currently I'm sitting outside in a chair and sucking up the sun. The weather is beautiful today, but it has been kinda schizophrenic the past week - we all know it from home haha. I might just get a sun burn as we are speaking hehe. Of course I brought my camera with me up here, but it decided to turn itself on in my bag and is now completely dead - hence the love/hate relationship. I love it to death, but just wanna throw it into the pond right now..... Tomorrow I will be going to a wildlife park nearby, and luckily Jen was kind enough to lent me her camera so I'll be able to take some pictures while there. Pheeew.

As to the job situation I am about to write my CV/resume and will probably be looking for some jobs next week. But I decided to take it nice and easy, get settled and secure before I go out and look for work. I'll take it as it comes, so when I feel like it, I'll start handing out CV's and using my danish charm ;-) Hopefully I'll get a job then haha!

Next week weather should be better, around 23-25 degrees (jealous?!??!) = shorts weather, and that I am officially entering summer again. I can deal with fall as long as it just lasts for about 3 weeks ;-) Oh oh. Aldo were talking about the beaches the other day in the car and goes: "Well, beaches here are very safe, there's nothing you should really be worried about. They have great water, no big waves, and are really nice to go to". (Tanja's thoughts "aha, great, love me some beeeeach") "....the only thing you should really worry about is sharks. Like I never go further in than my own height". Uhm, no worries, don't even think about it, you won't see me further out than my knees, okay, cool. O_o  I'll be laying flat on my back splashing water onto myself in 30 cm water, that'll be fine thanks.

If anyone would like my address to mail me something(!!! hehe), just ask on facebook or something :-)
Aaaand I'm out of here, will be back later! I'll leave you with a photobomb, there you go.

Beth and I went to see Tom play touch ball - another game I don't quite understand haha
A nice lady took a photo of me, yaaaay, no more stupid selfies...
That's how it goes, when you only have one pair of shoes... but oh well, matching patterns should be fashion lol
...juuuuust kidding! Who doesn't love a great selfie?!
Apparently Denmark is a subject of ice cream here? :-D
