THE ADELAIDE SHOW

In order to keep me busy and NOT sleep during the day, Aldo arranged a couple of things for me to do these first days. This week there's a big event in town called Adelaide Show that actually is very similar to Roskilde Dyrskue, and Aldo planned for me to go there all day. There's all the animals, all the competitions, all the rides, all the food stands, all the market stands. The only difference is that it's a little wilder here than at home. For example they have a pig race and pig diving, which sounds completely stupid - but it was entertaining. I've got some videos and pics for you to see. There was also a wood chopping competition with axes, which was crazy. I have a video to show you, I really can't explain it, but I'll have to figure out how to put it on here.

So I was there all day today (12/9) all alone. It wasn't that bad being alone, but of course it would've been more fun with somebody else there. Apparently I look Swedish, and when I told the guy I was danish he replied: "I've heard danish people are craaazy!". Haha, I guess? But it was cool walking around the show seeing all the competitions and animals, and I had a really good time. It actually isn't that different from Denmark down here haha, it looks a little like it and apparently they do some of the same cultural things as I saw at the show today.

Oh last night I met Aldo's daughter Mia as well, and we went out for dinner in China town. It's was great and she's great too. I met Aldo's son Tom today, right now actually, and he's great as well! Really really nice people, I'm glad they're taking such good care of me :-)

Weeeeell. Here's some pics from today. Tomorrow I'll probably go for a walk around the area and I'll take some pics for you to see - that is if it's not raining, today it was pouring down while I was at the show..

And btw, I don't know if I should be writing in Danish instead? Right now it seems like I should keep it connected to home haha, while earlier I felt the opposite. Also, if you have any questions or wants to hey, leave a comment for me! :-)
